I’ll make Enugu land for all— APC Gov Candidate

By Austin Ogwuda

Enugu—GOVERNORSHIP candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Enugu State, Mr. Okechukwu Ezea, has promised to end all forms of discrimination against non-indigenes in the state if elected.

According to him, it was unjustifiable to discriminate against somebody who was born and grew up in Enugu because he was not an indigene.

Ezea, who spoke during an interaction with the Anambra indigenes living in Enugu State, said: “It was quite unfortunate that some people instead of learning from Anambra people, out of ignorance and jealousy are marginalizing them in Enugu State.

“About 80 percent of the houses in Enugu State is owned by Anambra people. They did not acquire it by force but through hard work. I will like every Anambra man and woman to bring his commercial instinct to Enugu State.”

He said if elected governor, every Igbo man and woman would have equal right to own houses in New Government Reserved Area, noting that “just as Enugu people are free to contest election in any part of Igboland, every Igbo man, irrespective of the state, could contest election in Enugu State.”
