YENAGOA—THE member representing Sagbama/Ekeremor federal constituency of Bayelsa State in the House of Representatives, Mrs. Stella Dorgu, has urged traditional rulers and opinion leaders in the constituency to mobilize the people in the rural areas to ensure that they collect their Permanent Voter Cards PVCs, to enable them cast their votes in the February polls.
The lawmaker, in Sagbama town, headquarters of her constituency, during a social sensitization programme, tagged “Non-violence voter’s sensitization campaign,” organised by Ayamara Foundation Movement for GEJ, reminded the royal fathers that they have a duty to educate and mobilize the people to be part of the electoral process by ensuring that they get their PVCs, stressing that the sensitization campaign was to enlighten the people on why they should collect their PVCs and protect their votes.
The lawmaker, who spoke through the President of Bayelsa West Democratic Youth Front for Good Governance, Afamukoro Ebiks, urged the people to shun apathy by making sure that they perform their civic obligations by fully participating in the electoral process.
