
Policeman get sets to quell protect of students of Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye in Abeokuta

ABUJA—OVER 360,000 security personnel are expected to be deployed to provide security across the country during this year’s general elections.
This came as Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, planned to import 25 sniffer dogs from the United States to detect likely explosives component during the elections.
Already, the affected officers have been trained by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in collaboration with the various security outfits in the country.
Inspector General of Police, IGP, Suleiman Abba, disclosed this at a sensitization workshop on election management organized by the Savannah Centre for Diplomacy, Democracy and Development, SCDDD, in collaboration with the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, CSIS.
