BENIN—THE All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State, weekend, called on the Edo State Police Commissioner to arrest and prosecute the state Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, over his claim that Governor Adams Oshiomhole spent N142 million to commission projects executed by the state government.
The state party Chairman, Mr Anselm Ojezua, said that Orbih should also be arrested for forgery, “Since he could forge government documents just to misinform the public. We cannot afford to rubbish the name of a governor who has done so well for his people on the alter of politics. That is why Orbih should be arrested.
“By now, the people of Edo State already know that Orbih is speaking from the figment of his imagination and that the PDP has nothing to offer Edo people. I would have been satisfied if Orbih had shown them something in Iguobazuwa that the PDP achieved in their 10 years administration in Edo State. Nobody in PDP has the moral justification to even point accusing fingers at anybody regarding corruption, a person whose leader and President has redefined corruption to discount stealing.
“Secondly, N20 billion is said to be missing and the President promised Nigerians a forensic audit of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC. Up till this moment, we don’t know the auditors despite the fact that Nigerians have subscribed to the Public Procurement Act, which makes it imperative for the President to run a transparent government.”
