There were indications, yesterday, that three officials of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, were still missing, four days after the attack by pipeline vandals which left two policemen and a motorcyclist dead in Ikorodu area of Lagos.
Though their identities were not disclosed to Vanguard, it was gathered that the search for the officials’ bodies in the creeks in Abule Ishawo and Tappa ended in futility yesterday.
On the other hand, 10 officials, said to have been rescued by a reinforced team, comprising the military and NSCDC, were discharged from the hospital.
Confirming report on the missing officials, the Commandant, Lagos State Command of NSCDC, Abafi Gabriel, said: “We are still searching for three of our men. 13 of them went for the operation. But we have 10 at the moment.”
