ADO EKITI – It seems palpable calm will return to Ekiti State this new year, following the spiritual visit of sorts, by the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye and the Founder/General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi to the state during the Christmas for an evangelical work.
In their characteristic manner, Adeboye and Kumuyi, re-invigorated hope among the Ekiti people who have been bothered about the one-day-one-trouble that their state has been thrown into recently, following the ding-dong between the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC.
Showering blessings on the people for the peace, progress and development of the state, the clergymen predicted a brighter future for Ekiti State, stating that God has intervened in the various problems of the people.
At the Governor’s Office, Pastor Adeboye prayed for the state governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose and members of his cabinet, saying that the state would soon come out of its present economic quagmire bedeviling it.
Adeboye who was in Ekiti, in continuation of the annual statewide crusade christened ‘Let’s Go A-Fishing ‘ explained that it was not his character to visit governors in their offices, except on invitation, saying God will soon answer the prayers of the people of the state.
Rapid transformation
The cleric pointed that his visit to Ekiti would herald good things and rapid transformation in the coming years
“Everything you propose to do for Ekiti State will succeed. God will take Ekiti to greater heights. You are the burden bearer, come and bear the burden of the governor in all areas of his life. As from now, we shall continue to hear good news from Ekiti State.
Earlier in his remark, governor Fayose disclosed that his insistence to receive Adeboye in his office was to have a feel of the anointing.
Fayose who expressed concern over the current economic problem confronting the state, noted that only prayers could get the state out of the woods
In his sermon at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, venue of the Crusade, Adeboye urged Christians to take advantage of the yuletide to review their relationship with God, even as he urged whoever that has not given his or her life to Christ to do so without further delay.
Also, Pastor Kumuyi has predicted that Ekiti State would be blessed bountifully in the years ahead, despite the current challenges facing it.
Pastor Kumuyi who arrived Ado Ekiti on penultimate Wednesday, for a three day crusade tagged “Extra Ordinary Encounter with God’s Miracle” told newsmen that God has directed him to end this year crusade in the state
“This is a dream come true. I have traveled to all parts of the country for evangelical work, but God has directed me to round this year’s crusade up in Ekiti State. Ekiti State and indeed Nigeria shall witness peace, prosperity and love, and Nigeria will move forward.”
