UMUAHIA—ABIA South Traditional Rulers Council has endorsed the state’s Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate, Dr. Okezia Ikpeazu, saying he is the choice candidate of the zone for the February 28 governorship election.

Rising from its meeting at Aba, the council also endorsed Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, also of PDP as the zone’s candidate for the senatorial seat.

The Chairman of Abia Traditional Rulers Council, Eze Eberechi Dick told the council that the zone could not afford not to support PDP since it was the only major party committed to ceding the governorship seat of Abia State to Abia South.
