Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, Mr. Bayo Sodade, has said he wrote his latest books, Financial Control in the Nigerian Public Service and Biblenomics, to bridge the knowledge gap in public budgeting and financial management.
Bayo, who spoke at the launch of the books in Lagos, said while preparing for various examinations as a junior officer in the public service, he had cause to read books that were lacking in quality.
He said he felt the compelling need to broaden knowledge by writing books that combine long years of practical experience in public finance management and budgeting.
“So I started thinking of doing something that will add value to readers,” Sodade said at the launch of the books published by Dayo Alabi.
Mr. Ben Akabueze, the state Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, and the Adedotun Gbadebo, Alake of Egbaland were at the event.
