Men of the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit, yesterday, raided the hideout of suspected land grabbers in Gbagada area of the state and reclaimed seized property worth N2 billion.
The officials, led by the Chairman, Bayo Sulaiman, stormed Gbagada around 10a.m., and immediately took over the seized estate, while suspected thugs, who had hitherto laid siege on the property took to their heels on sighting the armed men.
Vanguard learned that the property, an estate, was built by private company in 2007 with a bank loan of over N1.5 billion.
The High Court of Lagos had restrained the family from encroaching on the land, but it went ahead to seize the property.
