Sen Pwajok wins Plateau PDP gov seat

Jos—Incumbent senator representing Plateau North, Gyang Pwajok has emerged winner of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship primary in Plateau State.

Chairman of the Electoral Panel, Abdullahi Ohioma said that Pwajok polled 435 votes to defeat incumbent deputy governor, Ignatius Longjan who got 163.

Other aspirants, Dr. Haruna Dabin scored 16 votes, John Clark Dabwan got seven votes, Sen. Victor Lar got 109, Chris Bature got five, Fidelis Tapgun got one vote, John Alkali, three votes, Prof. Sonny Tyoden got seven votes, Bitrus Nabasu got 10 votes, Jimmy Cheto got zero, Nandom Pyenap, one vote, Kemi Nshe got 31 votes, Godfrey Miri, four votes, and Prof Longmas Wapmuk, zero. Five of the votes were invalid.
