Abuja – The Flying Eagles have invited for camping nine foreign-based players, including Kelechi Iheanacho and Isaac Success, ahead of the 2015 African Youth Championship (AYC) in Senegal.
A statement by the team’s Media Officer, Samm Audu, on Sunday said team head coach Manu Garba expects the players to join up with the Flying Eagles on Dec. 27.

The national under-20 team’s training camp will reopen in Kaduna on Dec. 27.
“Iheanacho is with English Premier League champions Manchester City FC, while Success has already broken into the first team at Spanish La Liga side Granada CF, the statement said.
It also said the other foreign-based players invited to the camp are Chidiebere Nwakali of Manchester City, Taiwo Awoniyi of Kalmar in Sweden and Chidera Eze of FC Porto of Portugal.
“The rest are Daddy Moses, Kingsley Madu, both of AS Trencin of Slovakia, Musa Yahaya of Tottenham Hotspur of England and Musa Muhammed,’’ the statement said.
It added also that the coach has already received assurances for the release of the players by their clubs.
The AYC will kick off on March 8 in Dakar, Senegal.
The eight-team event will produce Africa’s four representatives to the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.(NAN)
