By Festus Ahon

ASABA—The Executive Chairman, Delta State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Mr Elijah Ologe, has ordered the contractor handling the construction of Amakom Primary School buildings in Oko-Amakom, Oshimili South Local Government Area of the state, to complete the project before the end of this month.

Ologe, who gave the order while inspecting the ongoing construction of two blocks of eight classrooms, Head Teacher’s office and other facilities at the new site of the school, said the project must be delivered before pupils return from Christmas and New Year holiday.

He directed the construction firm handling the project to do all within its power to ensure that the project was delivered on time and according to specifications.

He said that the former site of the school was on the right of way of the Second Niger Bridge project, hence the school was being relocated to a new site, adding that pupils of the school had been relocated to a temporary site where makeshift classrooms were constructed for them, urging the contractor to get the job completed to enable the pupils resume academic activities in a better environment.
