BADAN— FOLLOWING the recent violence that punctuated the peace which had reigned in Oyo State since 2011, Governor Abiola Ajimobi has promised to set up an inquiry to investigate and ascertain remote causes of the violence.

The violence which sacked some parts of Ibadan city led to the death of a police officer and left several other people injured.

Ajimobi, while addressing newsmen after paying a sympathy visit to Popoyemoja and Born Photo areas of the state capital where the violent acts were carried out, explained that the commission of inquiry would be charged with the responsibility of fishing out the perpetrators of the acts and recommending appropriate punishment under the law with a view to preventing further occurrence of the barbaric act.
