Covenant varsity partners Lancaster on teaching, research

The administration of Lancaster University, Ota has expressed their desire to partner with Covenant University (CU) on teaching research and summer school. This was stated during a visit by Lancaster team to Covenant University recently.

Lancaster team was made up of the International Officer of the university, Mr. Jamie Vegad, and the institution’s representative in Ghana, Mr. Nom Habu. They noted that their mission was to have a formal deliberation on the modalities for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Covenant University. The MoU, as discussed would cover areas like split doctorate degree programmes, sharing of library resources, exchange of faculty, staff and students, research partnerships, etc.

In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Korede Ayo appreciated the team for the visit, and expressed the desire to see a more vibrant and functional MoU between the two institutions.

According to the vice chancellor: “The whole essence of an MoU is that it is functional and rewarding to both parties,” adding, “developing the right incentives is key to a successful drive of the partnership.”
