CALABAR—ASSISTANT Inspector General Police, AIG,   Zone 6,  Mr  Mark Idakwo has ordered criminals  to move out of the zone, as he was not prepared to tolerate any criminal acts in the states  within his command.

Idakwo, who  recently assumed office in Calabar, Cross River State, the headquarters of the zone which covers   Cross River, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Ebonyi States, told Vanguard that within the short period of his assumption of office, his men had arrested 23 criminals and foiled two armed robbery attempts in Akwa Ibom  State, adding that he was a man of peace and during his tenure as the chief crime fighter in the zone, he will make sure that peace  reigns.

Addressing criminals directly, Idakwo, said “Woe to you robbers, kidnappers, murderers, assassins, you have to flee from the states under zone 6 because I will smoke you out.  I give the people of the zone guarantee that our tenure will witness the most peaceful period in recent time.

“I have been the officer in charge of Anti Robber Squad, SARS at the federal level and fighting crime is not new to me and I shall make sure that anyone with criminal intentions does not have his way and I will make sure that peace and calm reigns in the zone because I am a man of peace.”
