BENIN CITY—AHEAD the 2015 general elections in Edo state, All Progressives Congress, APC, youth in Edo South, yesterday, endorsed the Chief of Staff to the Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Mr. Patrick Obahiagbon (Igodomigodo), as their candidate for the Edo South senatorial primaries of  APC.

The youths urged the leadership of the APC in the South to give Obahiagbon their support, due to what they described as his “outstanding performance when he was in the House of Representatives.”

In a statement by  Kola Edokpaiyi, and Iyamu Osaro, said “no reasonable Edo man will detest the fact that Obahiagbon’s voice was loud and clear in agitating the right of the common man during debates on the floor of the House.

Also, he has demonstrated absolute loyalty to his party APC and to the Edo State government where he is currently a serving Chief of Staff.”

The statement warned that “ sending a candidate that do not enjoy the support of the youths and the Edo masses will no doubt weaken the fighting spirit of the youths and reduces the chances of the APC in the forthcoming general elections.

Hence, we call on leaders of APC in Edo South to support the candidature of Obahiagbon to secure victory for the party in the forthcoming general elections.”
