Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, has said the state will continue to partner with the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC and assist Special Marshals, as a voluntary arm of the FRSC by creating enabling environment for them to carry out their duties.
According to him, safety on the roads was a collective responsibility and it behoves the FRSC, Vehicles Inspection Officers, VIO, and other traffic management personnel/agencies to ensure that the nation’s roads are safe.
Uduaghan, represented by Edu Ufuoma, Director, Vehicle Inspection, Directorate of Transport, said the state had in compliance with the 2011 resolution of the National Council of Transport, NCT, signed into law a bill establishing the Delta State Traffic Management Authority, DESTMA.
