Former Super Eagles assistant coach, Fatai Amoo has enthused that the side played their best game against Sudan in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualification.
The Eagles defeated their Sudanese counterparts, Falcons of Jediane, 3-1 on Wednesday at the Abuja National Stadium.
A brace from Ahmed Musa as well as one goal from Aaron Samuel proved adequate to hand the Eagles the three points as well as a lifel into Nigeria’s 2015 Afcon qualification. Salah Ibrahim Jizoli scored Sudanese consolation goal.
Amoo said the Eagles’ impressive performance against Sudan has once again opened a new chapter of hope that Nigeria may still qualify for the biennial football fiesta in Morocco. “We were the better side in all ramifications and actually the best performance compared with the past three matches in the Afcon qualification race.
