Comrade Ikeogwu said SWAN Delta has implicit confidence in Pinnick’s ability to deliver on the job and pledge unalloyed support of the sports writing community in the state to the new President of NFF.

“There is no gain saying the fact that history has been made in our time. What we are witnessing today is recommended in the bible for us to always remember to appreciate God whenever He does anything good for us. That is exactly what Pinnick has done today (last Sunday) and we give glory to God.”

“On behalf of the members of the Delta State Chapter of the Sports writers Association (SWAN), we congratulate Amaju Melvin Pinnick on his victory at the election and to also pledge the commitment and support of my members. We are proud of him and we pray God to grant him the wisdom and understanding to lead the apex football ruling body in Nigeria.”

He described Pinnick as a man with passion, dedication and zeal towards football in particular and sports development in general, adding that his achievements as the Executive Chairman, Delta State Sports Commission and Chairman of Delta State Football Association (DFA), are eloquent testimonies of stuff he is made of.

He thereby called on all stakeholders in the football industry to support Pinnick as he pilot the affairs of NFF particular now that Nigeria is struggling to qualify for the Morroco 2015 Nations Cup.
