The decision by the Ambassador Chris Giwa led-group to withdraw the suit against the Nigeria Football Federation from a Jos High Court has been hailed by former captain and one time coach of the national team, Christian Chukwu as good for Nigeria football.

In a reaction to the dismissal of the case by the court following the decision by the group to withdraw the case, Chukwu said, “Fantastic. It is the best piece of news I am hearing. This is a big relief to Nigerian football and to millions of youths playing football in this country.”
He said that the withdrawal of the case will afford stakeholders the opportunity to get together and discuss as brothers issues bothering them. “Football is one big family where everybody come together.”
Let us come back, sit and articulate our positions on all issues of interest.”
He said this could be the last of the series of crises that had bedevilled the football house if the present board manages the situation well.
“If they handle this matter well, the crisis may not come back again. I will advise they call together all stake holders, iron out whatever the issues are that we may have permanent peace in the football house.” Chukwu said.
