Commissions Ekiti’s 300-bed hospital, asks voters to shun PDP in 2015

Ado Ekiti—Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has called for the devolution of powerS from the federal to the states, saying more powers and resources should be given to the states.
Atiku who was speaking during the commissioning of the 300-bed multi-million Naira Oba Adejugbe General Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, yesterday, said the Federal Government has no business in undertaking some of the responsibilities currently at its disposal.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential aspirant, urged Nigerians to take advantage of 2015 general elections to vote out the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from power.
Atiku noted that if more powers are ceded to the states, it would make power at the centre less attractive. The APC chieftain noted that the Federal Government has no business in undertaking issues like health,agriculture and employment
He said: “This is the first time Nigerians will be having an alternative platform to vote out the Peoples Democratic Party , and this opportunity must not be missed.”
Also speaking on the occasion, Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi said the multi-million naira general hospital was borne out of his commitment to wipe out poverty and attend to the health needs of the people of the state.
