ONITSHA—A member of Board of Trustees, BoT of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, has dismissed insinuations that the party will collapse into the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for any reason whatsoever.

Speaking yesterday, he said APGA could rather accept entering into an accord, merger or alliance with PDP for the interest of both parties, if need be, particularly for the purpose of returning President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term in office in 2015.

According to Ezeonwuka, “In the second republic, what was Nigeria Peoples Party, NPP founded by Zik of Africa when Governors Sam Mbakwe of old Imo State and Jim Nwobodo of old Anambra State did marvelous developments in the present South East zone, just like what APGA is doing in Anambra state now. Did they defect to the then National Party of Nigeria, NPN?
