Rimi’s deputy, Farouk dies at 85

KANO –  The former Deputy Governor to late Alhaji Abubakar Rimi,  Alhaji Bibi Farouk, 85, is dead.
The second Republic politician joined his ancestors, Monday, after a protracted illness.
Bibi Farouk was late flamboyant Kano politician, Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar Rimi’s running mate in 1979. They were candidates of  the defunct Peoples Redemption Party.
Bibi Farouk was survived by  a widow and several children. He has since been buried in Kano. .
