People no longer do good music — Dailet

By ANOZIE EGOLE

Coming on the heels of the release of his much played single, Authority, Morgan Entertainment artiste, Emeka Otuoke, aka Dailet, has opened up on his take on the Nigerian music industry, describing most songs that go into the market as lacking in message.

When asked to assess the Nigerian music industry, the Nnamdi Azikiwe graduate of Sociology said that most Nigerian musicians do not do good music.

“Most songs that are being pushed into the market by some top celebrities lack message.

They are just pushing them into the market only for monetary gain without being conscious of their impact on the society. Good music is gradually dying off in the industry. People no longer do good music.

All they do is produce music with lots of money and force the music to be accepted. The music is so much played by radio stations that people have no other choice than to accept the music,” he said.

The talented singer has concluded plans for the musical video of a single expected to hit the market later in the year.
