Politicians in Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State have said they will vote for Mr. Tony Obuh at the governorship polls because of his administrative acumen, strong belief in equity, fair play and contributions to development of the state.

The politicians made the pledge during a consultation visit by Mr. Obuh to the leadership of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the area, where he was received by the party executives in both wards and local government levels and women groups.

The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mr. Peter Onwusanya, who addressed the gathering, said they had confidence in Obuh because of his non-dented civil service carrier, humility, honesty and sincerity.

He said: “Obuh is at home with the people of the area having lived in Asaba since the state’s creation coupled with his being one of the facilitators of development in Delta State. We will support him, believing he will justify the support and develop Asaba.”

Also speaking, one of the political leaders and former state Secretary of PDP, Alanza Ugboma and others said the people of the area will join people from other senatorial districts to support Obuh.

Responding, Obuh said Deltans needed a person that will exploit the opportunities in the state for the betterment of the people.
