OPC suspends Ekiti co-ordinator

By Dapo Akinrefon

THE National Coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, Otunba Gani Adams has suspended the co-ordinator for Ekiti State, Prince Niyi Ogundipe,  for  activities deemed as anti-congress.

In a letter entitled,  “Your suspension as Ekiti State Coordinator,” the OPC explained that  despite several warnings by the elders of the congress to ensure that Ogundipe followed the line of responsibility as a state coordinator, “you have continued to behave in a manner that is capable of dragging the name of the congress in the mud.

“It has come to the notice of the organization that you have consistently involved yourself in activities deemed as anti-congress.  It is also noted that you have consistently absented yourself from all activities of the congress, including absenting yourself from the meeting of National Coordinating Council, NCC, which is the highest decision-making arm of the congress.”

“Therefore, after a meeting of the NCC, during which your matter came up for discussion, it was unanimously agreed that you should embark on an immediate suspension from all activities of the congress.”
