LAGOS—Coordinator of Ijaw Monitoring Group, IMG, Comrade Joseph Evah has thrown his weight behind the call for online registration by National Youths Service Corps members.

In a statement in Lagos, the former Publicity Secretary of Ijaw National Congress, INC, however, said the option should be left open for only those who prefer to register for their call-up letters online.

He said that the NYSC authority has shown visionary leadership considering the security challenges in the country, adding that with the new arrangement, Corps members can get their call-up letters without exposing themselves to the dangers of travelling to higher institutions in the danger zones of the country.

Evah advised the NYSC leadership to ensure that the online registration option was insulated from corruption to save the young graduates from falling into the wicked hands of internet fraudsters. He also lauded them for the initiating the scheme.
