Ijaw Democrats take Ebola sensitisation to creeks

BOMADI—Ijaw Democrats, ID, a grassroots socio-political organisation in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, yesterday, said it will sensitise the rural communities in the council on the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease, EVD.

Chairman of ID, Mr. Keneke Godbless, told newsmen that the current scourge of EVD could be prevented through sensitisation with the right message.
He said: “We are doing our best as a socio-political pressure group to inform the people of the policies and programmes of government at the federal, state and the local governments; their obligations as citizens; issues and current happenings.

“We will deliver the right information to the people and make them cultivate healthy attitude. The services of medical personnel and other health workers will be on hand during the sensitisation period.”
Godbless called on relevant authorities to equip Bomadi General Hospital with necessary facilities to handle any case of Ebola outbreak.
