Falcons face ejection from hotel

There are  strong  indications that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is broke as feelers emerged yesterday that members of the national female team, the Super Falcons could be thrown out by the hotel where they are staying any moment from now.

The Serob Legacy Hotel where the team is camping ahead of the forthcoming African Women Championship (AWC) is said to have given the NFF till the end of this week to make some payment or risk a forceful ejection of the team.

A top staff of the federation who pleaded anonymity told our reporter that it is very unfortunate that the lingering crisis has resulted in the football house facing a difficult period due to the alleged withholding of subventions by the federal government.

“It hurts me that there is no money to manage the programmes of the federation now; instead some people are busy doing politics of who should come in and who should not”

According to our source, the federation is even finding it difficult to pay workers salaries, and also owing a lot of people who are threatening legal actions against the embattled football house.

“What we are doing is just to manage and feed those girls, the hotel is just tolerating us due to the fact that we are long standing customers”.
