YENAGOA—POLITICAL parties in the country have been urged to support President Goodluck Jonathan in the task of addressing the security challenges facing the nation.

The paramount ruler of Amatu I community in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, HRH, Decca Keredei, who made the appeal in Yenagoa, warned that nobody was safe in the country “as what is happening in the developed countries can also happen in underdeveloped countries such as Nigeria.”

The royal father noted that when Osama Bin Laden’s Al Qaeda attacked the United States, every other country including the United Kingdom supported the US to defeat the threat he and his group posed. He cautioned Nigerians on their utterances against the President as political position was not meant to oppress the people but for the development of the citizenry.

Keredei urged people who are frustrated not to tarnish the image of the President and country, saying that Jonathan inherited numerous problems when he assumed office as president.
