A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State, Mr. Daniel Omoluabi, has berated the state Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Orbih for attempting to insult the intelligence of Edo people over his unnecessary outcry against the approvals of the state governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for the official trip to the United States of America during Edo Convention in Chicago.

Omoluabi, in a statement said the PDP Chairman’s accusation reminded people of Edo State of the massive corruption and scandal that rocked the state House of Assembly during the PDP administration in the state.

According to him, “Dan Orbih’s party, the PDP, is as controversial as the messenger himself who has knack for reminding us of how Edo State should not be administered in the 21st century. The way they administered it during the PDP era when monies were approved for legislators for aboard trips but were simply ‘pocketed’ without embarking on the journeys. Orbih did not succeed in stigmatising the Oshiomhole-led administration who’s legitimate and constitutional approvals were captured in the budget because all the officials who got approvals attended the convention for which the monies were mean for.

“While waving his gibberish accusations, the truth is that without knowing it, the well known frustrated party chairman has opened a Pandora box which must be properly analysed side by side with the PDP administration in the state, which was characterised by organised wastage of state resources. Take for instance, when a governor chartered a flight abroad and upon reaching his destination, suddenly forgot that his concoction root gin was not with him and as such had to order one of his aides with the flight to fetch it immediately with tax payers money. It happened during the PDP led administration.”
