Delta State governorship aspirant on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olorogun David Edevbie, has told youths of the state that unless a credible person was elected as governor in 2015, they risk being marginalised for the next four years, adding that he was their ‘David.’
He said: “I want the youths to support me because this battle is for you. You should ensure that your votes go to the right person and by all standards, I am the best man for the job.
“For me to be able to do what I have promised, I need your support. Use your votes wisely and I hope you cast your votes for me. I am your David and I will kill your political Goliath; only give me the catapult.”
Edevbie, a former Delta State Commissioner for Finance and Principal Secretary to late President Umaru Yar’Adua, spoke at a consultation visit to PDP leaders and elders in Warri South and Warri North Local Governments Areas.
Responding, the chairman of the PDP in Warri South, Mr. Amah Agbajoh said he was a beneficiary of Edevbie’s excellent performance when he was a commissioner.
