THOUSANDS of beneficiaries of the Federal Government’s SURE-P programme in Edo state yesterday expressed their support for President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term bid.
The beneficiaries who bared their mind when members of the House of Representatives Committee on Rural Development visited the state to access the situation with the programme in the state, said for the first time in the history of the country, they have felt the direct impact of government and appealed to the President to urgently declare his intention for 2015 presidency.
Addressing the crowd, the Edo state chairman of SURE-P and the chairman of all the chairmen of the programme in the states, Mr Lucky Imasuen, urged the beneficiaries to be wary of people who might want to dupe them under the guise that they will be registered into the programme, saying that the programme was for all Nigerians who are above the age of 18.
