2 profs among  Bible College  graduands

TWO university professors are among the over 6,374 candidates who will graduate from the Redeemers Bible College today as part of the ongoing 62nd annual convention at the Redemption Camp of the church.

The graduands who will collect their scrolls this morning include Prof. (Mrs) Olufunmilayo Tumininu Sotonode, Head of Faculty of Education at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye and Prof. A. O. Dasilva of the Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan.

Out of the 6,374 graduands who will be donning the familiar college gowns, 53 will graduate with masters degrees in Theology, 49 will receive Bachelor of Arts degrees (B.A.), the remaining 6,272 graduands are expected to receive diplomas and certificates.

According to a source close to the church, the Bible College where church ministers are prepared, has turned out several eminent Nigerians including a former vice chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Prof. Lawrence Babatope Kolawole, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Patricia Etteh, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and two traditional rulers – HRM the Oba of Ikire and the Oba of Osu.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that the University of Ibadan has approved the affiliation of the Bible College though a licence to that effect is yet to be received by the rector of the college.

Special seminars begin

THE day three of the ongoing RCCG annual convention will feature 13 special seminars will focus on the following topics: The gift of the Holy Spirit; The office of prophet; Mountain-moving faith; The healing ministry; How to work miracles; Deliverance ministry; Knowing the mysteries of God.

Other topics that will treated at the seminars which between 2.30 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. include; The divine prayer-partners; Let the wind blow; The Pentecostal Experience; The consuming fire; The fruit of the Holy Spirit and Understanding the anointing (ministers only).
Immediately after the seminars will come Melody Hour which begins at 4.30 p.m.
