Nigeria’s packaging industry growing at 12% yearly — Report

Nigeria’s packaging industry has accounted for 12 per cent of the $4billion recorded by Middle East and African markets in the last five years, according to a survey carried out by PCI Film Consulting.

Meanwhile, Propak West Africa has concluded plans to hold trade exhibition , which is supported by the Institute of Packaging Nigeria, IOPN, World Packaging Organisation, WPO, Nigeria Export Promotion Council, NEPC, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN, the chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria, CIPPON and the National Agency for Food, Drugs Administration and Control, NAFDAC . The exhibition will hold between September 2 through 4, 2014 in Lagos, organised by Montgomery West Africa.

In a statement signed by the Managing Director, Montgomery West Africa, Tori Abiola, said the second edition of the show will attract experts from the packaging, food processing, plastic, labeling and printing trade show tagged: Propak West Africa 2014 will feature international and local product leaders, regional and international experts and stakeholders that influence and shape West Africa’s packaging, print, plastics and labeling industry.

The show will also feature five seminars stream.
