Kaduna — The Northern Youth Forum, NYF, has lambasted the Sultan of Sokoto and President General of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, for allegedly heating up the polity by complaining that Muslims were being marginalised.
NYF, in a statement signed by its National Director of Mobilization, Sirajo Gwaramyo, in Kaduna, yesterday, said its attention was drawn to the statement credited to the Sultan, where he was quoted to have said that Nigerian Muslims were marginalised and therefore, not happy.
It said the Sultan’s statement was uncalled for at this time in the country due to its implication to the unity and security of the country and must not be left unanswered.
“Based on the available statistics at our disposal, there is no evidence to show the marginalisation of Muslims in public offices,” it said.
