BY FESTUS AHON

UGHELLI—THE people of Ugbolokposo community, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State have appealed to the state government to keep them abreast with government’s commissioning and employment arrangements for the Uvwie Modern Market, Ugbolokposo.

The community in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Stanley Atumu, reminded the state government of the unresolved issues with the market, but commended  Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and his deputy, Professor Amos Utuama for their efforts towards the amicable resolution of the problems.

His words: “The government should not forget that Ugbolokposo is the host community to the market and so we should be informed about every arrangement with regards to the opening of the market.
“Also, government should repair the street in the Uvwie Modern Market, which is a quick means for the cattle herdsmen to pass through to the abattoir as it is also the only link to Uti Road.”
