Super Eagles midfielder, Sunday Mba has been suspended by the Ligue de Football Professionnel for 3 games following a red card he bagged on March 21 in a game against Tours.

The Nigerian midfielder was on the sidelines last Friday against Creteil, but his club, CA Bastia were able to win 3-1 nevertheless.

Unfortunately, Mba will be missing in the next two Ligue 2 matches against Le Havre and Nimes as he would be serving the match ban.

Mba’s foul was considered to be very brutal by the league governing body, despite the fact that Mba’s victim didn’t suffer any significant injury. Leo Schwechlen returned on the field about 2 minutes after the incident with Mba and was able to finish the game.

The Super Eagles star has scored 2 goals in 11 appearances for CA Bastia in Ligue 2. He also added 3 goals in French Cup, but Bastia are already out of the competition.
