EASTER: Clerics preach devt, unity

The Prelate,  Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr. Samuel Emeka-Uche; The Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Most Rev. Alfred Adewale Martins and Bishop of Lagos Diocese, Bishop Ephraim Adebola Ademowo, yesterday, called on the Federal Government to focus on the welfare of Nigerians by directing its policies on job creation for youths.

Emeka-Uche called on those in authorities to do the needful by making life comfortable for the masses.

Adewale-Martins urged Nigerians not to give up, while Ademowo prayed for peace, unity, stability and an egalitarian society for the country.

In his message at the Methodist Church of the Trinity, Tinubu Lagos, The Methodist Prelate, Emeka-Uche, called on those in authorities to do the needful by making life comfortable for the masses.

He added that it was high time political leaders recognised the importance of God’s sacrifice to mankind, saying that leaders must sacrifice their personal egos and forge a common front to make life better for the common man whom they have been elected to serve.

Most Rev. Martins urged Nigerians not to give up despite challenges confronting the country, saying there is light and hope for the country.

He called on Nigerians to contribute their quota towards the development of the country, maintaining that for rapid transformation and changes to occur in the country, all hands must be on deck and that the ability and might to transform the country lie within individuals.

Ademowo in his message entitled Christ is Risen, said Easter was the greatest and oldest feast in the Church; the pinnacle of the Christian year.
Calling on Christians to live Christ-like life, he prayed for peace, unity, stability and an egalitarian society for the country.
