Sapele—The Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, the umbrella body of the Urhobo at home and Diaspora, said yesterday, that it had decided that the Urhobo nation should produce the next governor of Delta State, come 2015.

First Deputy President- General of UPU, Chief Joseph Omene, in his Mosogar country home, Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state, said that the final decision on the governorship issue which was binding on all sons and daughters of Urhobo nation, was taken at a meeting of the union in Uvwiamuge, during which the 15 member executive committee of UPU agreed that the next governor of the state should be an Urhobo.
