Two people were injured, yesterday, when a two-storey building collapsed at Lekki area of Lagos.
According to eyewitnesses account, the affected building, located at Toyota Street off Kunsela Street, Elegunshi Lekki roundabout, caved in around 1.40pm.
However, no casualty was recorded and the two people who sustained injuries were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
At press time, it could not be ascertained whether the injured persons were construction workers or residents of the area.
Meanwhile, South-West Information Officer for National Emergency Manage-ment Authority, NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, said no life was threatened so far.
‘’Two people sustained minor injuries and have been taken to the hospital,” he said.
