NATIONAL Union of Andoni Students, NUAS,  has passed a vote of no confidence on a member of the House of Representatives, Mr Dakuku Peterside, over what it described as misrepresentation of Andoni nation in the House.

It noted that machinery had been put in place for his recall, saying that his alleged inability to sponsor any bill  had affected the people of Andoni.

NUAS, in a communique at the end of its 45th annual convention, alleged that Peterside unilaterally changed  the name of his  federal constituency from Andoni/Opobo-Nkoro to  Opobo/Nkoro in favour of his  Opobo ethnic nationality.

The communique by the President and General Secretary respectively of NUAS,  Timi Mbaba and Etetegwung Secondus, said “Peterside continues to turn a deaf ear to the issues concerning the constituency till date.”
