The Chairman, Eti-Osa Council of Imams and Alfas, Alhaji Abdul-Barri Yosuff Afini has called on delegates at the National Conference to have the fear of God in all their deliberations.

He stated that lack of God’s consciousness and love for one another have been major factors stultifying development in the country, adding that the result of the on-going dialogue would only be meaningful if all issues are discussed with the fear of God and love for the downtrodden.

Afini gave the charge during a seminar organised by the council for the new Islamic title holders in Eti-Osa, Lagos, preparatory to their conferment slated for April 6.

The event which was held at the proposed Eti-Osa Islamic Center recently was to sensitise the new Islamic title holders of their contributions to the building of multi-million naira Islamic center project and general development of Islam in the area.

The Osupa Adini of Eti-Osa, Alhaji Ridwan Aleshinloye noted that the country would be a better place for all Nigerians if love and honesty which the Prophet was known were allowed to reign supreme in our lives.

The conferment which is scheduled to hold on Saturday April 6, will be chaired by former Governor of Lagos State and APC National leader, Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while governors Babatunde Raji Fashola and Senator Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi of Lagos and Oyo States respectively will be special guests of honour. Other eminent Muslims expected at the occasion include the Chief Imam of Lagos State, Sheikh Ibrahim Garba Akinola, OON, Alhaja Sekinat Yusuf, former commissioner in Lagos State among others.
