Community lauds Jonathan on Centenary celebration

ELEME — Okori community in Eleme, Rivers State has lauded President Goodluck Jonathan for organising the just concluded Centenary celebration.

Speaking on behalf of the Okori community recently in Eleme, Rivers State, the Egbere Emere Okori of Eleme, HRH Appolus Chu, commended President Jonathan for what he described as an auspicious event.

Chu, who was particularly impressed by the Centenary award, said: “We congratulate you for organising the Centenary award for Nigeria by bringing all the past and present leaders of country together especially at this moment of political unfaithfulness, distrust and differences.”

The Egbere Emere Okori, who said the occasion was a landmark worthy of emulation, said Jonathan should be applauded “as you bestow numerous inter vivo and post humus awards and recognition of personalities past and present, who had at various times contributed their selfless quota to the development of our dear country.

“The award is a testament to your love and care for the people of Nigeria and geared towards the upliftment of spirits of the beloved departed and members of the their families alive.

“This noble role of recognizing industry is path finding, pioneering and inspiring the spirit of many Nigerian to contribute towards the development of this country.”
