Chelsea beat Galatasaray 2-0

LONDON (AFP) – Chelsea beat Galatasaray 2-0 on Tuesday to advance to the Champions League quarter-finals 3-1 on aggregate.

Following a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Istanbul last month, Samuel Eto’o gave Chelsea an early lead on the night and Gary Cahill added another shortly before half-time to give Jose Mourinho’s men a comfortable victory in the last 16 tie.

Nine-time champions Real Madrid breezed into the quarter-finals of the Champions League after beating Schlake 04 9-2 on aggregate.

After running out 6-1 victors in last week’s first leg, Real won 3-1 at home, thanks to a brace from Cristiano Ronaldo and a third from Alvaro Morata, Schlake’s consolation coming from Tim Hoogland.
