
Super Falcons at their training for Nation’s Cup in Abuja on Tuesday
The Super Falcons of Nigeria have been drawn to face Rwanda Women in the second round of the Africa Women Championship qualifiers.
The Rwanda Women qualified despite a 2-1 loss to Kenya in Nairobi on Sunday.
The She-Amavubi, as the Rwanda Women are called, marched on via the away goal rule after a 2-2 tie.
Jackie Ogolla and Mural Amau scored for the Kenyans whilst Jeanne Nyirahatashima found target in between for the visitors that turned out to be the vital goal.
The First leg of the encounter will be played on the weekend of 23-25 May in Kigali, while the Second leg will be played on the weekend 6-8 June in Abuja.
The winners of the Second Round ties will proceed to the Africa Women Championship in Namibia.
The final tournament, which will hold between 11-24 October, will also serve as the qualifier for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada next year.
