The chairman of Toyota Nigeria Ltd, TNL, Chief Michael Ade Ojo has restated his company’s determination to continually raise the bar for after-sales service delivery to their customers nationwide.
Chief Ade Ojo who was speaking at the unveiling of the all-new Toyota Yaris at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos recently explained that business climate across the country and indeed the world is witnessing some form of lull which has resulted in reduction of cash flow. As a result, “public, private as well as individuals are becoming increasingly conscious of the value and quality of what they spend their hard earnings on,” he said.
As a responsive organisation, the chairman said that their response has been to continually raise the bar in terms of quality of their after-sales service delivery to their esteemed customers as well as improve upon their response time in all ramifications of the business in order to interminably sustain the confidence level of their customers on the brand.
To this end, he said Toyota Nigeria Limited has set up the first world class body and paint training centre in Oregun, Lagos. This ultra-modern facility, he explained will train Toyota dealer technical staff on body and paints works, adding that this is in addition to the various other trainings they undergo at Toyota Lekki head office free of charge.
The Toyota boss also noted that the company has sustained its annual skills contests organised amongst its dealer technicians whereby winners of the contests are usually sent to Toyota Corporation headquarters in Japan every year for further training and exchange of ideas with Toyota service experts from other parts of Toyota global community.
All these, he said, are aimed at enhancing delivery of superior quality service in the area of after-sales to their numerous customers and ultimately break new grounds in the realm of customer satisfaction in the Nigerian.
Complementing the remarks of the chairman, the managing director, Toyota Nigeria Ltd, Mr. C.K. Thampy noted that the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction after-sales delivery has earned it many laurels, among which are Car of the Year award on the Toyota Avensis and Camry by the Guild of Motoring Correspondents and Nigeria Auto Awards respectively, as well as Auto Workshop of the Year to a Toyota dealer, Elizade Motors.
“For two of our models to clinch such coveted awards and for our dealer to win in the workshop category well substantiates the fact that we deliver on our promises to our customers, not only excellent products but also provide excellent after-sales support,” he said.
He however, informed that the company surpassed its business target last year, which he attributed to the customers patronages.
