Niger State government has approved the sum of N164m for Niger Tornadoes Football club of Minna for the 2013/2014 league season.

Part of the money which is between N40m-N50m has been set aside for the settlement of the sign-on fee of the players.

Chairman of the Tornadoes Management Committee, Alhaji Dattijo Aliyu who disclosed this in an interview with our sports correspondent said all steps have been taken in order not to starve the team of funds this league season.

According to him, the sum of N8m has been set aside for the club monthly which he said will take care of salaries, bonuses and other allowances of the players.

“With this arrangement, no players will be owed his salary, bonus or allowance in order to encourage them to be in their best throughout the season,” the chairman said.

Dattijo assured the players of his support just as he also assured the technical crew headed by Coach Godwin Uwah of the co-operation of the management board.
