This happened on a Monday evening. I had gone for my usual game of squash — please don’t say again—when it happened. We were on the last game, and despite my vow to take things easy on the court, my competitive spirit took over. I went for a ball I should not have gone for and crowded my opponent in the process. He also wanted the point (badly?) and tried to hit the ball when he should have held back.
Nigerian Army redeploys senior officers
The Nigerian Army Headquarters yesterday announced a major posting of its senior officers, which saw Major General John Kwabe as the Chief of Logistics, Defence Headquarters; Major General Ugo Buzugbe, Commander Nigerian Army Armoured Corps; and Major General Ebiobowei Awala, as the Military Secretary (Army). Others affected by the posting according to Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Ibrahim Attahiru in a statement in Abuja, include Major General Olufemi Adeosun, who is now Director, Policy Defence Headquarters; Major General John Nwaoga, General Officer Commanding 3 Division; Major General Chris Olukolade, Director Defence Information; Major General Sunday Adebayo, Commander Nigerian Army Education Corps and Major General Mohammed Idris, Commandant Nigerian Defence Academy.
