A Lagos High Court, Igbosere, has remanded three persons in prison custody, following their alleged defrauding one Mrs Lara Marire of N26.9 million, by promising to help her secure a contract from Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) to build a 100 unit duplex at Lekki, Lagos.
The accused persons (Katchy Okoye; 38, Matthew Usong; 40 and Princewill Eze; 45) whose bail application was adjourned, are facing a 12-count charge offence bordering on conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretence.
According to the charge, the defendants conspired with three others now at large to obtain the said from their victim between May 25, 2010 and May 9, 2011.
The defendants were arraigned on November 22 and the case was adjourned for hearing of bail applications on Tuesday, as the presiding judge, Justice Aishat Opesanwo, adjourned the case to December 2 for ruling on the bail applications.
